Account Executive / Business Development

Popular Marketing is looking for a motivated Account Executive to join our robust sales team in the fast paced digital advertising and online lead generation industry. The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for prospecting to acquire new clients for Popular Marketing's internal websites, affiliate network and its lead generation business (www.LocalAttorneyLeads.org). The AE should be a self-starter and is expected to find new clients by attending conferences, cold calling, contacting prospects via email, LinkedIn or otherwise. The AE will be the primary contact for all client communications and any data analysis required to optimize the account and meet client expectations. In addition, the Account Executive will be expected to provide proactive feedback, identify growth opportunities and strategies, and effectively upsell and grow acquired accounts.

This position reports directly to the Director of Business Development or senior management (depending on level of experience) and will work closely with many cross-functional team members on all aspects of the marketing operations. This is a great opportunity for a go-getter in a very lucrative industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • /01 Communicate effectively with clients, acting as the point person for all client communication regarding: obtaining data, providing campaign feedback, and identifying growth strategies in regards to their live accounts and maximizing the ability to upsell the account.
  • /02 Identify quality prospects, establish communication, negotiate and close new business.
  • /03 Ensure internal communication is proactive and efficient with co-workers and across the organization.
  • /04 Develop pipeline through competitive analysis, publisher requests and recon of the digital marketing landscape.
  • /05 Understand advertisers' quality, filter, and back-end monetization needs.
  • /06 Make recommendations for market standards on the design of campaigns and recommend additional campaign monetization increasing campaign viability.
  • /07 Self-generate a book of business and bring net new incremental growth quarter over quarter, eventually scaling accounts into strategic accounts.
  • /08 Re-establish communication with dormant accounts to seek out new revenue opportunities.
  • /09 Maintain the campaign budget, creative, and backend quality directly or in concert with an account manager, if applicable.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates will be considered in totality of their skills and experience versus strict interpretation of “requirements.”

  • /01 Some relevant sales experience as an Account Executive or Account Manager in a sales capacity, preferably in media or advertising (on-line or off-line).
  • /02 Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, statistics or computer science (or prior account management or sales experience).
  • /03 Familiarity with web technologies including email, reporting tools, display advertising, social media and mobile web and apps preferred.
  • /04 Excellent communication skills.
  • /05 Strong aptitude for Excel, Google Docs and PowerPoint.
  • /06 Strong ability in math and Statistics.
  • /07 Ability to succeed in and enjoy a fast-paced, quick-witted environment.
  • /08 Availability to travel for trade shows.
  • /09 Ability to quickly learn and adapt to technical systems and in-house reporting tools.

COMPENSATION
+ BENEFITS

The anticipated base compensation for individuals expressing interest in this position is anywhere from $60,000 to over $250,000 including commissions depending on experience and success in growing accounts. A successful AE will make the majority of their compensation from a generous commission plan.

Junior Account Executive / El Segundo, CA

Popular Marketing is looking for a motivated Account Manager to join our robust sales team. Our well-established and continuously growing client base provides opportunities for valuable industry experience and personal growth. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing relationships with advertisers as part of our online performance marketing operations. As the right candidate learns the business, the job would grow into opportunity for new client prospecting and acquisition and eventually to a business development or sales executive position.

This position reports directly to the Director of Business Development and will work closely with many cross-functional team members on all aspects of the marketing operations. No prior experience necessary but a strong understanding of online technologies and an extremely aggressive work ethic is imperative. This is a great opportunity for a go-getter to learn and grow quickly in an exciting and lucrative industry.

This position will require at least part time work at the office once company re-opens office near El Segundo in coming weeks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • /01 Manage day to day operations with existing advertisers, including:
    • Communicating with clients regularly to get and provide feedback on campaign performance.
    • Work with marketing team on campaign caps, price adjustments, start and stop notices received from clients.
    • Optimizing marketing creatives between internal media team and the clients.
    • Generate and disseminate applicable reports.
    • Work closely with marketing team to relay client feedback and campaign optimization.
  • /02 Assist sales team in prospect for new clients using online tools, website forums and reviewing ads on websites.
  • /03 Meet with partners and attend industry conferences.
  • /04 Analyze statistics on a daily basis and maximize revenue, identify opportunities, optimize campaigns and troubleshoot issues.
  • /05 Staying current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards in online marketing to proactively assist with compliance.
  • /06 Interface with Affiliate Managers in order generate traffic on managed campaigns.
  • /07 Interface with finance, clients and production team in facilitation of client/campaign paperwork.
  • /08 Build strong client relationships on existing book of business through regular communication.
  • /09 Coordinate with Account Executives and Account Managers to create customized sales plans for incremental revenue.
  • /10 Up-sell/cross-sell on suggested company services based on team feedback.

Web Designer / El Segundo, CA

Popular Marketing is looking for a web designer. We will be implementing a hybrid work model during the transition back to the office. This position must report to worksite on non-remote workdays, as determined by management. Once the transition is complete, this position will be expected to perform work on-site.
